Zelma Mace Hargrove, 94 of ­­ Weldon passed away on Sunday, October, 2, 2022 at ECU North Hospital.

She was born on April 13, 1928 to the late, Dennis C. and Ruby Pickard Mace. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ham Hargrove,  her son, Mike Hargrove,  her sister, Connie Burke, and four brothers, Harold Mace, "Pete" Mace, Herbert Mace, Lindy Mace, Clarence Mace and Jimmy Mace.

Zelma and Ham met at Louisburg College and were married June 9th, 1951 in Sanford.

Surviving is her son Lee Hargrove of Raleigh; her grandsons Jordan Hargrove and his fiancée' Selena Trujillo and Spenser Hargrove both of Roanoke Rapids; John E. Lassiter, Sr and his wife Susan, a loving nephew she could call upon whenever needed.

There will be a private graveside service on Saturday with Rev. Randy Martin officiating as Mrs. Zelma requested.
