William Jennings "Bill" Seuis 82, of Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday September 28, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Bill was a native of Halifax County and was the son of the late William Marion and Elizabeth Drewery Seuis. He was also preceded in death by daughters, Tammy Seuis Kidd and Lisa Seuis Wright, and his sisters, Ruth S. Cole, Naomi G Seuis, Annette S. Rock and Alice S. Cook. Bill was a Retired Funeral Director serving families in Halifax, Northampton Counties and Southside Virginia for over 40 years. He was a long-time member of Rosemary Baptist Church. The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses of Liberty hospice, Dixie Medlin, RN and Marsha Lynch, RN. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Virgie Farmer Seuis; daughter, Cora Seuis Mulder and her husband John of Conway; grandsons, Kristian L. Mulder of Greenville, Matthew N. Mulder of Conway, Andrew J. Mulder and his fianc'e Emma Loop of Hobgood, William C. Wright and Jackson E. Wright, both of Gaston and Justin Kidd; son-in-laws, Jeff Wright and Jeff Kidd; sister, Viola S. Dunlow of Gaston; brothers, George J. Seuis and his wife Cordelia Seuis of Roanoke Rapids, John I. Seuis and his wife, Becky of Gaston, James Doug Seuis and his wife Judy of Roanoke Rapids and Several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday October 1, 2021 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Dr. Layne Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in old Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-8 pm at the Funeral Home.
