William Blake Ricks, 23 of Greenville, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was a fulltime student at Pitt Community College with plans to transfer to ECU in August. He was pursuing a degree in Industrial Technology Management. Will loved hunting, fishing, the beach and his family. He was very outgoing with his sparkling blue eyes, quick smile and dry wit. He is survived by his parents, Ruby and Wesley Ricks, his brother, Ryan Ricks and his grandfather, Jimmy Ricks. Will was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Jewel Goffigon and Linda Ricks. Will accepted Christ as his savior as a young child and was a member of Rosemary Baptist Church. Will attended Open Door Church in Winterville. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 16, 2022 at Rosemary Baptist at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Layne Wallace, Rev Sue Owens officiating. Jodie Barrett will also be speaking at the service. The family will receive friends and family Sunday from 4:00-5:30 P.M. at Askew Funeral and Cremation services in Roanoke Rapids. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
