Obituary

William "Billy" Albert Jenkins, 94 of Littleton, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

He was born in Halifax County on January 9, 1930 to the late Barney Frazier Jenkins and Lillie Irene Garner Jenkins Glasgow and was preceded in death by his stepfather, Wilson Glasglow, his sisters, Hazel Harrell and Mildred Glover.

"Billy" was the owner and operator of Little and Jenkins Rebuilders for 40 years, president of the Independent Garage Owners Association of North Carolina and served as the President of the Local Association as well. He was a member of Smith Methodist Church. "Billy" and Edith enjoyed spending time between Lake Gaston and Emerald Isle. He was a pilot and loved flying and spending time at the old Halifax County Airport (RZZ) off 158.

"Billy" is survived by his wife, Edith Cullom Jenkins, daughter, Lisa Jenkins Hodge and her husband Mark of Raleigh, and his granddaughter, Catherine Hodge; his sister-in-law, Gwen Hubbard and his brother-in-law, Davis Cullom and their families.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Smith Methodist Church with Rev. Stan Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services.
