Wilbur E. King, 86, went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson's. His final days were spent at home surrounded by his family. Wilbur was a devoted Christian and loving family man. He was a model husband and father who walked with the Lord with humility and kindness. He leaves a lifetime of treasured memories for his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora and Doc King. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Claudette Baggett King of the home. He is also survived by one son, Earl King of Raleigh, and three daughters and their husbands, Kathy (Barry) Browning of Raleigh, Wanda (Glenn) Saylor of Zebulon, Tracy (Lewis) Spragins of Knightdale. He leaves behind five grandchildren and two great grandsons. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 3 at 2:00 pm at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Chris Hilliard officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the Cemetery.
