Warren Cecil Braswell, 95, went home to Jesus his Lord and Savior early on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

He was the son of the late Clarence Bennett Braswell and Betty Edwards Braswell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hyacinth Braswell and a son, Randy Braswell and his son-in-law, Jerry Wells.

Warren loved his Lord and his family. He exemplified a life well lived in his 95 years in this world. He and his wife, Hyacinth lived their lives to honor their Lord and helped others. They helped numerous individuals through the years and actively served in their church. They spent several years in missionary work on behalf of the Southern Baptist Association in various cities across the United States.

A thank you is extended to many of his neighbors and church family that have visited, helped and loved Warren through the years.

He is survived by his son, Sherrill Braswell and his wife, Jane of Nashville; his daughter, Angela Wells of Halifax; his daughter-in-law, Peggy Braswell of Jones Ridge, NC' his grandchildren, Travis Wells and his wife, Cari Ann, Jason Wells and his wife, Jessica both of Apex, Jeremy Wells and his wife, Emily of Zebulon, Matt Braswell and his wife, Rachel of Garner, Blake Braswell and his wife, Cara of Landisville, PA, Pattie Hunter and her husband, Anthony of Great Shelton, Cambridge United Kingdom, Randi Jo Forbes and her husband, Jeremy of Jones Ridge, NC and fourteen great grandchildren. Warren also survived by his sister Annie Laurie Brantley of Marietta GA and predeceased by brothers Bobby Braswell and Edward Braswell.

Due to Inclement weather, the service for Mr. Braswell has been changed to a 2:00 PM graveside service on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Andy Sloan and Rev. Randy Martin officiating. A memorial service will be rescheduled at a later date at Calvary Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The Visitation has been cancelled. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice of Roanoke Rapids or Calvary Baptist Church.
