Vivian Cook Reber, 90, passed away on Monday January 3, 2022. She was born June 19, 1931 in Williamsburg County, SC to the late James Robert and Mattie Stewart Cook. Vivian was predeceased by her husband, John Arnett Reber, along with her son, John Gregory Reber. Vivian retired as teacher from the Weldon City Schools with 22 years of service. She was a member of the Roanoke Valley Garden Club and First United Methodist Church of Roanoke Rapids. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Laura Reber Mason of Iron Station, North Carolina; her son, Mark Arnett Reber of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Ashley Reber, Alexandra Mason, Caitlin Crandell, and Caleb Mason; and her sister, Laura Cook Hayes of Conyers, Ga. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2pm in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina with Rev. Jimmy King officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 6:00 until 7:30pm at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
