Virginia Taylor Stephenson Wilkinson, 98, of Garysburg, NC, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023.

She was born in 1924 to the late Turner Taylor and Virginia Taylor Stephenson and was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Howard M. Wilkinson, her sister, Mildred Stephenson Edwards, and her brother, Bennett Stephenson.

Virginia was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She loved music especially opera, choral music and had a beautiful voice. Virginia loved God, loved people, and always found her supportive role to wherever her late husband, Rev. Howard was assigned. She and her husband spent many hours working at The Circus Tent Ministry on the Outer Banks and led many Christian theater productions in local churches.

Left to cherish her memories is her son, Rev. Scott Taylor Wilkinson and his wife, Vickie; her step-grandchildren, Kim Holsclaw and Jeff Holsclaw; and, her sister, Linda Stephenson Turner.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Stephenson Family Cemetery, 4817 Jackson Bypass Road, Garysburg, NC 27831. Rev. Scott Wilkinson will be officiating.
