Virginia "Ginnie" Roper Aylor, 87 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

She was born in Oconee, South Carolina on March 20, 1936 to the late Hal William Roper and Hazel Louise Owens Roper and was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Ross Aylor.

"Ginnie" was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

She is survived by her three daughters, Debra Liggett and her husband, Randy of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ann Neagle and friend, William Hopper of Marion, IL, Kelly Glascock and her husband, Jerry of Chesapeake, Virginia; her son, Steven Aylor and his wife, Diana of Aylett, Virginia; her ten grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren; her sister, Brenda Joyce and her husband, Jim of Pennsylvania; her brother Randall Roper of Alabama; and her loving cat, "Sam."

Chapel services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Andy Sloan officiating.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Culpepper National Cemetery.
