Tony Elvis Vaughan, 65, of Roanoke Rapids NC passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at UNC Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount. Mr. Vaughan was born in 1954 to the late Virginia Mae Vaughan and was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Gardner Vaughan; his brothers, Jerry Vaughan, and Pete Vaughan; his sister, Flossie Bolton; his sister-in-law, Janice Strickland and his grandson, Austin Vaughan. Surviving are his two children, daughter, Teresa Harrell and husband Jay, of Roanoke Rapids; son, Tony Curtis Vaughan and wife, Brandy, of Las Vegas, NV; his sister, Linda Harrison of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and his grandchildren, Wil Harrell, Cody Stamm and Emma Carnell. The family will have a gathering of friends to remember Mr. Vaughan's life on January 25, 2020, at Askew Funeral and Cremation Service in Roanoke Rapids from 6 until 7:30 pm.
