Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce that Timothy Lee Martin, 69, of Conway, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born on October 16, 1957 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to Grady Lee Martin, Sr. and Martha Blowe Martin.

A lifelong resident of Northampton County, Tim was always willing to offer a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. He had a love for fixing things and a passion for the land, spending much of his time farming and ensuring his lawn was kept pristine. If he wasn’t working the land or spending time in his shop, you could find him relaxing in his pool and listening to classic country music.

Tim will be remembered by those who loved him best for his tenacity, sense of humor, quick wit and love for his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Throughout his career he pursued roles in automotives, agricultural and chemical operations, and farm service equipment maintenance. His strong work ethic and loyal spirit cultivated friendships with co-workers and bosses that persisted throughout career changes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Lee Martin, Sr. and Martha Blowe Martin, and his sister, Anne Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Terry Odom Martin; daughters, Kimberly Martin Crutchlow and Kristen Leigh Martin; grandchildren, Wyatt Lee Crutchlow and Molly Grace Crutchlow; and siblings, June Miller, Grady Martin, Jr. (Shana Martin), and Clay Martin, as well as his nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the care team at Gentiva Hospice, including Sara, Valerie and Jamie, as well as his family physician, Dr. Frank Taylor and his office, who helped make his final days comfortable.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Askew Funeral Services -Jackson Chapel, 313 E. Jefferson Street, Jackson, NC, 27845. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Conway Volunteer Fire Department or the Milwaukee Bethany Methodist Church, of which he was a member.

Arrangements are being handled by locally owned Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.
