Diane N. Collier, 72, of Conway, NC passed away on January 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.

She was born in Richmond, VA and was the daughter of C.L. and Thelma Nowell, She was preceded by her parents; two brothers (William Nowell and Cecil Nowell), a sister (Debbie Lesner) and a granddaughter (Shelby Stauffer).

Diane was survived by a husband of 53 years, Jimmy W. Collier, Sr of Conway, NC. She is also survived by a son, Jimmy W. Collier, Jr and wife Danielle of Aulander, NC; a daughter, Crystal Collier Stauffer and husband Tim of Seaboard, NC; grandchildren Madison Bree Collier, Case Alexander Collier, Faith LeAnna Stauffer and Logan Timothy Stauffer. She is also survived by a sister, Marsha Martin of Petersburg, VA and a sister in law, Nelda Nowell of Windsor, VA and a host of nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at Askew Funeral Home in Jackson, NC on Tuesday, January 16 from 6:30 to 8pm. A funeral service will be held at Creeksville Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 17 at 11am. A graveside service will follow at the Town of Conway Cemetery with the Reverend Ken Cobb officiating.
