Tammie Dunlow Parrott 52, of Roanoke Rapids passed away at home on Friday, January 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Edward A. Dunlow, Sr. and Gloria Johnson Dunlow. Professionally Tammie served 19 years with the Greensville County Public School system in a variety of instructional capacities, including elementary teacher and most recently, as a staff technology trainer. She took pride in her role as an educator and loved the students and her coworkers. When not working, Tammie spent her time spoiling her children and grandchildren, often going on trips to various places across the country. She is survived by her husband, William J. Parrott, Sr.; daughters Ashlie King (Jonathan) of Louisburg and Trinity Todd (Marc) of Roanoke Rapids; son, William Joseph Parrott, Jr. of Boone; grandchildren Lillian King and Bryson Buckner; sisters, Diana Jones (Ernest) of Mineral, Virginia and Sherl Wilson of Roanoke Rapids; brother, Edward A. Dunlow, Jr. (Carmen) of Elizabeth City; brother-in-law, Michael Wilson, Sr. of Stoney Creek, Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. The family will receive friends at Askew Funeral and Cremation Service in Roanoke Rapids on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 7:00-8:30 PM Per Tammie's wishes, funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Tammie's honor.
