Sandra Denny Crowder, 79, of Jackson, NC passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 20, 2025. Sandra was born on June 27, 1945 in Tarboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Brown Adkins and James Thomas (J.T.) Denny, Jr.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of almost 47 years, Randy Crowder; daughters, Arianne Crowder Boone (Chris) and Allison Crowder; grandchildren, Natalie Luckadoo, Caliyah Pearson, Noah Luckadoo, Carisma Pearson and Jade Bradley; sister, Peggy Denny Mangum (Jim); sister-in-law, Belinda Crowder Martin (Alvin); "other daughter", Amanda Westberry Allen; best friend of 60 years, Carol Novak and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sandra was a homemaker and a maker of many things. She was a great cook and seamstress. She liked to watch her favorite TV shows, read books (especially Nicholas Sparks), was an avid Carolina Tarheels fan, loved to write down many recipes and enjoyed drinking sweet tea. She could make a song from almost anything you said, loved to laugh and joke, listen to the Eagles, James Taylor, Johnny Mathis and Carolina Beach Music. She didn't know a stranger and was a sweet, simple and fun spirited soul. She was a faithful member of Jackson Community Church, (formerly Jackson United Methodist) for many years.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, Jackson, NC at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jessie Brock officiating. The family will receive friends and family immediately following the service.
