Sheryl Davis Watson, 62, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Meryl Davis; brother, Joey Davis; nephew, Ryan Davis; and her precious dog, Summer.

Sheryl is survived by her children, Leighanne and John Johnson, Rachel and Clay Revelle, and her grandchildren, Leslie, Casen, Scarlett, and Wyatt. She is also survived by her twin sister and best friend, Je'Nen Davis and her brother, Gary Davis and his wife, Paulette. Sheryl also had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews to cherish her memory.

Sheryl was born and raised in Northampton County and was proud to call that home. After obtaining her nursing degree from Louisburg College, she returned home. She dedicated the next 35 years of her life to nursing. Sheryl spent most of her nursing career at Halifax Regional Medical Center in many roles, including patient care and teaching. Outside of her nursing career, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a warm and compassionate person who will forever be remembered.

The family will receive friends at Askew Funeral Service Jackson-Chapel, Jackson, NC, on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Galatia Baptist Church on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Justin Rose officiating. A graveside service will follow at the family cemetery.

The family recommends a donation to Galatia Baptist Church in lieu of flowers. Floral arrangements are being handled by C&W Flowers and Gifts in Roanoke Rapids if you choose to send flowers.
