Russell Lawrence Birdsong 85, of Halifax died Sunday December 19, 2021. Russell was born in Northampton County to the late Lee and Mae Sellers Birdsong. He servered his Country in the United States Army and was a member of Halifax United Methodist Church. Russell Loved hunting, fishing and spending time on the Roanoke River. He is survived by his wife, Danya Willey Birdsong; his daughter, Paige Birdsong of Raleigh and his son, Randy Birdsong of Halifax. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 1 pm in the Halifax United Methodist Church Cemetery in Halifax with Rev. Avery Lail officiating.
