Robert "Bob" Marvin Carter, 84, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Bob was a native of Halifax County and was the son of the late Thomas Randolph Carter and Hariett Carter. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Edward Carter, Louise Conwell, Hazel Spires, Shirley Fox and Tommy Carter.

He retired in 2000 from the State of North Carolina with the maintenance department, O'Berry Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Bob is survived by his wife, Faye Hunsucker Carter; his daughter, Shelia Love of Roanoke Rapids; his son, Ricky Carter and his wife, Dale of Whitakers; three grandchildren, Lindsey Parsley, Stephen Love and Troy Carter and five great grandchildren.

The family will hold a private service.
