RICH SQUARE – Mr. Robert Glenn Bryant, 81, of Maggie Valley, NC (formerly of Rich Square), died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Haywood County Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC. Along with his wife, Rachel, he resided in Western North Carolina for greater than two decades. It was a lifelong dream for Glenn and Rachel. The mountains were a big part of the beginning of their life story, and the serendipitous conclusion of their journey together. Mr. Bryant was born January 18, 1940, in Rich Square, NC. He was the son of the late Lewis Wilson Bryant and Lucille Holloman Bryant. He was also preceded in death by two unborn brothers and his loving wife ("girlfriend"), Rachel of 58 years. Survivors include his four children, Phyllis Bryant Martin, Rob (Robby) Bryant, Phillip Bryant and wife Amy, Wendy Bryant Cleaveland; his seven grandchildren, Brad Martin, Stephan Bryant and wife, Heather Bryant and fiance', Christen Bryant Pittman and husband, Jeremy Bryant, Brandon Hall, Braxton Hall and wife and nine great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1100 AM, June 23, 2021 at Creeksville Baptist Church, Creeksville , NC. Rev. Matthew Ledbetter presiding.
