Rebecca "Becky" Holt Blackmon, 62, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020. She was born in Halifax County in 1957 to the late Wilbur Alden Holt, Jr. and Rachel Deel Holt, and was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray Blackmon. Becky absolutely adored her "Sweet Pea" Lucas. She is survived by her son, Justin Blackmon and his wife, Cindy, of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her grandson, Lucas James Blackmon; her mother, Rachel Holt of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her brothers, David Holt and his wife, Pam, of Franklinton, NC, Steve Holt of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Doug Holt and his wife, Susan, of Wilson, NC. A memorial service to celebrate Becky's life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, at 2PM at Rosemary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Dr. Layne Wallace officiating. Inurnment will be in the wall of the church after the services. The family will also receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2020, at the church from 12:45 until 1:45 P.M.
