Gaston, NC- Pauline "Polly" Greta Spittle Vinson, 94, died at Hampton Manor Nursing Facility in Gaston, NC Thursday, May 14, 2020. Pauline was born in Amherst, Massachusetts, February 1, 1926, daughter to the late Edwin Earl and Zella Gertrude Carpenter Spittle. She worked at A&P and Pine Forest Rest Home for many years. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Joseph Ryan, Sr., James Benjamin Brown and Elliott Vinson; sisters, Norma Neomie Carpenter, Gertrude "Judy" May Spittle and Evelyn Lucielle Spittle; her brothers, Edwin Earl Spittle, Russell Oren Spittle and Francis Spittle and her son Donald Joseph Ryan, Jr. Surviving are her children, Fawn Marie Campos and Kevin David Ryan; sisters, Dorothy Margaret Spittle and Sylvia Fawn Spittle; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
