Patricia Crawley Powell of Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday April 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Halifax County and was the daughter, of the late Junius Walter and Frances Tharrington Crawley. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Faye Marie Crawley, Linda Ann Crawley, Julia Louise Crawley and her cousin and best friend, Jan Schmalz. Patricia worked at the finance department with Halifax County. She is survived by her husband, Dave Powell, her daughter, Julya Powell, her son, John Powell; her sister, Deborah Crawley Barrow; niece, Meagan Hargreaves and her husband, Oliver; her great-niece, Peyton Hargreaves and her best friend, Jonnie Miles. There will be a private graveside service, and there will be a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Smith United Methodist Church.
