Nina Porter Armstrong, age 77, of Littleton, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 with her family by her side.

She was born in Harnett County on September 15, 1946 to the late Jessie and Eunice Strickland Porter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Armstrong, Sr., sister, Tootsie Barefoot and her son-in-law, Frankie Smith. Nina was a retired Registered Nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Griffith; her daughter, Connie Moss and her husband, Roy of Emporia, Virginia; sons, Robert Lee Armstrong, Jr. of Halifax and Charles Phillip "Chuck" Armstrong and his wife, Wendy of Holly Springs; sister-in-law, Jean Haskins of Halifax; step daughter, Victoria Lynn Moore and her husband, Joshua of Wilson and step-son, Richard William Griffith of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Gregory Adam Byers and his wife, Kelly, William Coleman Smith, Charles Lee Smith, Chelsea Anne Armstrong, Allison Mya Armstrong, Chloe Mae Armstrong; great grandchildren, Michaela Elizabeth Armstrong, Christa Nicole Spruill, Jenna Louise Armstrong, McKenna Grace Simpson, Brenna Jae Armstrong and her four legged grand pup, "Rylee".

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2024 in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Leonard Rex officiating.

Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the John 3:16 Center in Littleton and Roanoke Rapids.
