Milton Edward Drew, Jr., 81, of Jackson, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022.

He was born in Bertie County on July 9, 1941 to the late, Milton Edward Drew, Sr. and Christine Hagwood and was preceded in death by his three brothers, Linwood Drew, William Earl Drew and Robert Drew and was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Mizzell.

Milton is survived by his wife, Susan Drew; his son, Michael Drew; his sister, Carolyn Futrell and several nieces and nephews.

He retired after many years of service from the NC Department of Corrections working his way to the rank of Lieutenant. Milton also retired as a Maj. from the Northampton County Sherriff's Office. Milton was also a member of the Seaboard Lion's Club; Jackson Baptist Church and was a two time recipient of The Order of The Longleaf Pine. He was an instructor for Community Colleges including Halifax Community College and the College of the Albemarle.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Jackson Baptist Church in Jackson, NC with Rev. Larry Godwin officiating.

Interment will follow in Jackson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Askew Funeral Service- Jackson Chapel in Jackson, NC.
