Millicent Aldridge Thomas, loving wife, mother, Gigi, sister, aunt and friend passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2025. While residing in Durham, she enjoyed helping others.

Her twin girls meant the world to her and she loved being a Gigi to her granddaughter. She was a loyal UNC Tar Heels basketball fan and watched every single game. Her love for watching sports led her to cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. When she wasn't cheering on her teams, she loved being out in the sun, whether it was on the beach somewhere or in her front yard with her dog, Sophie listening to country music.

She is predeceased by her parents, Jesse Alton Aldridge and Millicent Deans Aldridge and her niece, Mary Aldridge Wood.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Mickey Thomas; daughters, Jessica Millicent Patterson and Madeline Elizabeth Patterson; granddaughter, Aleeah Maxine Mayton; sister, Sally Ann Aldridge Wood, brother-in-law, Benjamin Harold Wood, and her niece Ann Bryant Wood.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Rob Tart officiating at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, 731 Roanoke Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, NC, 27870.
