Mildred Stephenson Edwards, 90 of Garysburg, NC passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was born in 1930 in Northampton County to the late Turner Taylor and Virginia Adeline Taylor Stephenson and was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Pat Edwards and her brother, John Bennett Stephenson. Mildred was a loving, dedicated family member and beloved storyteller. Surviving is her son, Dean Edwards and his wife Robin; her three grandchildren, Meredith McDougald and her husband Kelvin, Carole Piver and her husband, John and Patrick Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth; her great-grandchildren, Daniel Piver, Autumn McDougald and Leyla McDougald, Hannah Edwards and Henry Edwards; her sisters, Taylor Wilkinson and Linda Turner and her husband, Curtis; her nieces, Karen Turner, Heidi Parker, Lindy Wyatt and her nephew, Scott Wilkinson. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2pm in the Stephenson Family Cemetery with Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.askewfs.com.
