Maude Evelyn Brake Mitchell, born March 29, 1935 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2022.

She was born to the late, Robert and Ruby Thompson Brake and was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years, John Mitchell, Jr.

Maude is survived by her two daughters, Mary Kay Park of Littleton, NC; Donna Sellers and her husband, Danny of Roanoke Rapids, NC; one granddaughter, Jolene Morgan of Plano, TX; her three great-grand-children and her brother Johnny Brake and his wife, Margo of Vinton, VA.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 2pm in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Roy Porter officiating.
