Mary Katherine Hux Wells, 69 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. She was born in 1952 in Halifax County, NC to the late, Paul Homer and Martha Elizabeth Hux and was preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas Wells and her sister, Paula Patterson. She loved all of her grandchildren very much. Mary is survived by her husband, Tommy Wells, her very faithful companion Henry; her daughters, Beth Batten and her husband, Gary of Roanoke Rapids, NC, LaDonna Wells Wade and her husband, Brad of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her son, Brian Wells and his wife, Leslie of Archdale, NC; her grandchildren, Brandon Coker and his fiancé Erica, Austyn Batten, A.J. Batten, Taylor Wade, Rylie and Kylie Wade, Peanut Wade, Sofie Wade, Wesley Wells, Will Wells, Watson Wells; a great-grandson, Hunter Coker; her sisters, Becky Allen and her husband, Hubert of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Evelyn Davis of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Betty Conner and her husband, Shelton, of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Laura Elmore and her husband, Jack of Virginia; and a special friend that was like a sister, Linda Andrews as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be private at a later time.
