Mary Evon "Sister" Tanner, 65 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Claiborne Tanner and her mother, Mary Donnie Dickens. She is survived by her brother, Elwood Tanner and his wife, Val; four nephews; Brent, Chris (Lisa), Brandon, Chad; and a precious great-niece, Evelyn. Mary was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt. A private family service will be held at a later date.
