Loretta P. Buckner, 86, of Bowie, Maryland, formerly of Seaboard, North Carolina passed away on February 4, 2022. She was born in 1935 in North Carolina to the late, Samuel Johnson and Hazel Maddrey Johnson and was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Beryl Buckner and her brother, Samuel Johnson. Loretta enjoyed traveling, bowling, spending time with family, basketball and was a Duke fan; Washington Redskins, loved the Baltimore Orioles, flea marketing and yard sales. Loretta could always spot a sale. She is survived by her children, Robert Edward Pritchard and his wife, Debbie of St. Augustine, Florida, James Michael Pritchard and his wife, Lynn of Hillsboro, Missouri, John Charles Pritchard and his wife, Debbie of Jessup, Maryland; Angelle Buckner Lopez and her husband, William of Bowie, Maryland; her grandchildren, Bridgette Ann "Annie" Pritchard Mertens and her husband, Joseph, Sara Elizabeth Pritchard, Jenna Nicole Lopez and Caitlyn Nicole Lopez; her great-grand-child, Joseph Charles "Charlie" Mertens; her three sisters, Jean Lawrence, Rachel Turner, Sue Moseley; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and thought the world of. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm at Askew Funeral Services in Roanoke Rapids, NC located at 731 Roanoke Ave. Roanoke Rapids North Carolina 27870. Graveside Services will take place on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2 pm in the Seaboard Cemetery in Seaboard, North Carolina.
