Kathy Davis Smith, 65, of Gaston passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2024.

She was a native of Halifax County and was the daughter of the late Lewis McDaniel Davis and Doris Draper Davis.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ricky Smith; her daughters, Brandi Smith of Elizabeth City, Amy Gui of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her son, Michael Long of Roanoke Rapids; four grandchildren, Chanler Stanton, Jessie Stanton, Chance Taylor and Dereck Long; her brother, Kenneth Wayne Davis; two nieces, Jennifer Davis and Linda Davis Baker.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Jimmy King officiating.

Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
