Katherine Bailey Phipps, 75, of Aulander died Saturday April 23, 2022. She was the daughter of the late George Glenn Bailey and Martha Camilla Brown Bailey, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Bailey, Kenneth Bailey and her sisters, Faye Conner and Elsie Peoples. She loved going to her church, Millennium Pentecostal Holiness Church, reading her Bible and sharing the Gospel. She also loved fishing, walking and riding her bicycle. She is survived by her husband, Keith Phipps, three sons, Tommy Dunn and his wife, Karen of Askewville, Barry Dunn and his wife, Jennifer of Tyner and George Dunn of Murfreesboro; her grandson Gilbert Dunn and his wife, Breanna of Askewville; her sister, Shirley Hatcher and her husband, Welton of Oak Island and her sister-in-law Peggy Bailey of Nashville, NC, along with many nieces and nephews. A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Thursday April 28, 2022 at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services, Jackson-Chapel, in Jackson, with Rev. Taylor Latham officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the Funeral Home.
