Joyce Worth Bridgers Suiter (February 17th, 1936 - October 8th, 2021) Joyce Worth Bridgers Suiter went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 8, 2021. Joyce was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Joyce was a former member of Jackson Baptist Church and member of Halifax United Methodist Church for the past several years. Joyce was an extremely talented artist and cook and shared her talents with her friends and family. She was a graduate of Jackson High School and Richmond Professional Institute (now Virginia Commonwealth University). She was pre-deceased by her sister, Ruth Greene Jameson, and her parents, Charles Worth Bridgers and Ruth Bridgers. She was also pre-deceased by her son, John Ghio Bridgers Suiter, and her husband, John Arthur Suiter. She is survived by her two daughters Elisabeth (Beth) and Janet (Jan) Suiter, her granddaughters Emily and Madison Suiter, and her daughter-in-law Susan Suiter. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Bridgers, as well as several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. The family would like to thank the staff at Carolina Rest Home for their devotion in caring for Joyce in her final days. Your help was greatly appreciated. Services will be held graveside Friday, October 15th, at 1pm at Garysburg United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev Avery Lail and William Howell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association, or American Cancer Association.
