Josephine "Jo" Garner Wrenn passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at her home.
Jo was a native of Halifax County and was the daughter of the late Samuel Wyatt Garner and Inez Wheeler Garner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mason Wrenn, her son, William Bret Wrenn and his wife, Bonnie P. Wrenn, her brother, Sammy Garner her son in law, Ray Edwards, and her faithful canine companion, "Teddy".
She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. Jo was very involved with Citizens on Patrol and Meals on Wheels. She retired in 1997 from Telecable in Roanoke Rapids as office manager.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kim W. Edwards of Roanoke Rapids, Tracy W. Kidd and her husband, Bill of Roanoke Rapids; her son, Mike Wrenn and his wife, Deanna of Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren, Shannon Bellflower and her husband, John, Michael Combs and his wife, Kathy, Lee Edwards and Samantha, Robbie Myrick and his wife, Katie, Will Myrick and his wife, Erica, Caitlin Lambert and her husband, Timmie and Bradley Myrick and his wife, Savannah; sixteen great- grandchildren, Sophia White, Keegan Combs, Ava Combs, Kaylee Edwards, Stella Myrick, Hudson Myrick, Kinsley Myrick, Laiten Lambert, Kaelyn Edwards, Baylor Lambert, Paisleigh Edwards, Lorelei Myrick, Lincoln Myrick, Addie Edwards, Oaklyn Myrick and Ava Scott Myrick and soon to be Wrenley Lambert.; her sisters, Kitty Duke of Conway and Linda Crutchlow and her husband, Herbie of Roanoke Rapids.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Andy Sloan officiating.
Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until service time at the church.
