Johnnie Thomas "Jack" Britt, Jr of Murfreesboro died Wednesday October 28, 2020. Jack a native of Herford County was the son of the late Johnnie Thomas Britt, Sr and Thelma Brett Britt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia G. Britt, his stepdaughter Julie E. Brickhouse and his sister Peggy Futrell. He was in Law Enforcement for 39 years and retired from the Hertford County Sheriff's Department. Jack is survived by his daughter's Sherri B. Harmon and her boyfriend Richard Harden of Windsor and Mitzi B. Hughes and her husband, Randy of Merry Hill; his stepson James Edwards and his wife Teresa of Murfreesboro; his brother Robert Britt and his wife, Jean of Myrtle Beach, SC six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held Friday October 30, 2020 at 2 P.M. in the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery in Murfreesboro with Rev. John Porter and Rev. Randy Hughes officiating.
