Mr. John William Branham, III, 93 of Halifax, North Carolina passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 13, 1927 in Wake County to the late, John William Branham, II and Betty Esther Green Branham and was preceded in death by his two sisters, Beulah Branham and Helen Branham Holdford and his son-in-law, David Allen Butts. John was a proud World War II veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army, an avid hunter and was a farmer up until his death. John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Sparks Branham; his daughters, Esther Branham Beal and Tracy Branham Butts; his son, John William Branham, IV and his wife, Elizabeth; his four grandchildren, Hannah Beal, Taylor Branham Davis and her husband, Cameron, Morgan Branham and John-Colby Branham; his great-granddaughter, Sawyer Davis and his special friends, Charles Bryant and Family and Tommy and Margie Thompson. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
