Jesse Paul Morgan, Sr. 67 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was born in Halifax County in 1953 and was preceded in death by his father, James Carol Morgan. Jesse was a 1972 graduate of Northampton County High School East and worked as a mechanic. Jesse was a fun, loving guy, always telling jokes and talked to every and never met a stranger. He is survived by his son, Jesse P. Morgan, Jr. and Susan of Dalton, Georgia; his mother, Virginia Futrell Hall of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; his sisters, Sue Morgan of Henrico, North Carolina and Brenda Pearson and her husband, James of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; his grandson, Micah Denney, of Dalton Georgia; his nephew, Jim Pearson and Jenny of Roanoke Rapids; and his Girlfriend, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Askew Funeral Service-Jackson Chapel in Jackson, North Carolina.
