Obituary
Jerry Gene Smith, 85 of Roanoke Rapids passed away on February 9, 2025 at his home.
He was born in Dexter, OH to Alberta Queen Smith and Maxwell Deart Smith on March 29, 1940 and was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Iris Ann Shearin Smith.
He is survived by his son, Terry Wayne Smith (Susan); his daughter, Debra Jean Smith (Chip Edwards, Jr.); his granddaughter, Shanon Ocheltree Wamsley (Ryan) of Morgantown, WV; his grandson, Ben Thomas Smith of Wilmington, NC and his great-granddaughter, Whitaker Lee Wamsley of Morgantown, WV.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Duke Cancer Research Center for Prostate and Urologic Cancers/Duke Cancer institute.
Graveside services will be private.
