Jerry Wayne Moody, 81, of Seaboard NC, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024

Jerry loved to travel and fish, along with working in his garden.  Trips to the beach and eating at his favorite  place, "The Tale of the Whale" was a joy of his.  Jerry loved being outside and enjoyed cutting the grass. Most of all he loved his family above all things. Deacon at Seaboard Baptist Church. Previously member of Seaboard Fire Department , and Lions Club.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hazel Moody of the home; daughter Lisa Lassiter and husband, Linwood of Rich Square; grandchildren, Mindy and James Lassiter of Rich Square; great grandchildren, Aiden and Brinley Lassiter of Rich Square.

A funeral service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Seaboard Baptist Church.  Visitation with the family will follow the service in the fellowship hall.  Arrangements entrusted to Askew Funeral & Cremation Services, 313 East Jefferson Street, Jackson, NC, 27845.
