Jerry Alfred Benford, 73, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. He was born on December 2, 1953 in Newport News, VA, the son of the late Ewing “Al” and Margaret Willey Benford. Jerry was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Benford.

Jerry is survived by his cousins, Ralph Willey and wife, Lottie, Carl Willey and wife, Carol, Paul Willey, Sharon W. Cates and her husband, Rick, Vicki W. Brand and her husband, Greg, Lauren Holvik and Andrew Farris.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 2:30 PM at Willey Family Cemetery, Enfield, NC with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
