Jerry Alfred Benford, 73, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026. He was born December 2, 1953 in Newport news, VA, the son of the late Ewing “Al” and Margaret Willey Benford. Jerry is also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Benford.

Jerry is survived by his cousins Ralph Willey and wife Lottie, Carl Willey and wife Carol, Paul Willey, Sharon W. Cates and her husband, Rick, Vicki W. Brand and her husband Greg, Lauren Holvik and Andrew Farris.

A Graveside service will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at 2:30PM at Willey Family Cemetery, Enfield, NC with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
