James Ryan Outland, 22 of South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Ryan was born on May 28, 2002 in Wilmington, NC. He is the son of Jessica Neathery (Godfrey) and James Outland.

Ryan was a loving husband, son, and brother. He enjoyed fishing, video games, trucks, animals, and the lake. He had the biggest heart and wanted to rescue every animal he encountered. He graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 2020.

Ryan is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Telton and Lucille Whitby; paternal grandparent, Walter Thomas Outland.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Allyson O'Neal; father, James Outland (Shannon); mother, Jessica Neathery (Cliff); sister, Alyssa Outland; brother, Logan Neathery; grandparents, Ray and Shelia Godfrey, Toni Outland, and Wanda Neathery; uncles, Travis Godfrey (Caren) and Tommy Outland (Charlene); childhood dog, Moxie Jo; loving cat, Little Bit.

A celebration of life will be held at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Daniel West officiating.
