James Hilton Little, 69, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 29, 2022.

He was the son of Rachel Davis Little and Atlas Hilton Little. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Little and his father, Atlas Hilton Little.

James is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Little, his son, Samuel Little (Jennifer) daughter, Mindy Little (Marcus) as well as his mother, Rachel Davis Little, his sister, Linda Benthall (Gene) brother, Joseph Little (Margaret Ann) and a very beloved Aunt, Rachel A. Little. He is also survived by two very special granddaughters, Madelyn Little and Aubrey Little.

James worked for forty-six years at what is now West Fraser Lumber Company, retiring in May of 2018. He had a passion for working tirelessly on his farm, tending to his garden and land. He loved all wildlife and military aircraft, and one of his greatest joys was watching military jets and helicopters fly over his farm. Those who knew him can attest that he was a unique personality by all standards.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, December 4th, at 2:00pm in the afternoon at Seaboard Cemetery, Seaboard, NC with Rev. Jim Cox officiating.

The family has requested that anyone attending his service to please dress casually, as he was not a suit and tie kind of guy.

The family would also like to thank the staff of Signature Care of Roanoke Rapids for the care provided during his stay at their facility.
