James "Jimmy" Cooper Gaylor, Jr., 76 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at his home. He was born in July 10, 1944 to the late James Cooper Gaylor, Sr. and Janelle Ruthie Pitts Gaylor and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Batten Gaylor. Mr. Gaylor worked in the textile industry as a weaver and retired from the Bibb Company. He is survived by his daughter, Michell, G. Strickland and her husband Billy Strickland, Sr. of Halifax, NC; his son, James C. Gaylor and his wife Kristie of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his grandchildren, Billy Strickland, Jr., Cindy Strickland Wright, Tammy Lynn Gaylor, and James C. Gaylor Jr.; his sister, Kathy Williams and her husband, Jeff of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his brothers, Ricky Gaylor of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Dennis Gaylor and his wife Susan of Roanoke Rapids, NC along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2pm in the First Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Rev. Dathan Hall and Dr. Julian Mills officiating. Visitation will be held from 1pm until service time at the church. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
