Henry Chester Brown, Jr. 69 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at UNC Nash General Hospital. He was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina on April 22, 1953 to the late, Henry Chester Brown, Sr. and Anne Price Brown and was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Crist. Henry was passionate about history and spent many hours volunteering with Historic Halifax and the 6th North Carolina. He also loved cats and was a huge supporter of Israel. Henry was a published author, an expert on Historical weaponry and he loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Doris Brown, his three daughters, Ariel Duhadaway, Rhea Votipka (Daniel) and Hana Brown; his grandchildren, Joanna Duhadaway, Grady Duhadaway, Luca Votipka and "Baby" Henrietta Votipka; his sister, Sandy Isley and husband, "Pee Gee"; his cousin, Betsy Pritchard and husband, Joe and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 2pm in the Chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services.
