Gregory "Greg" Vaughan Daughtry, 55, of Raleigh died Thursday, May 19, 2022.
Greg was the son of the late Thomas Alvin Daughtry, Sr., and Ann Ferguson Daughtry Kern. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Dick Kern.
He was a 1985 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School and also of Campbell University. Greg was a very accomplished pianist and had a beautiful tenor voice. He sang with the Continental singers and was a very creative person.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas Alvin "Tommy" Daughtry, Jr. and his wife, Leesa of Roanoke Rapids; his nieces, Laura G. Duncan and her husband, Matt of Emporia, Va. and Caroline Daughtry of Roanoke Rapids; his great niece, Langston Duncan, great nephew, Mattox Duncan; his step-sister, Affie Ray and her husband, Allen of Burlington; his step-brothers, Richard Kern of New York, NY, Swain Kern and his wife, Rhonda of Burlington and John Kern of Look Out Mountain, Ga., a circle of fiercely loyal friends who loved and supported Greg like family.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, with Pastor David Faile and Rev. Joe Sandoval officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until service time at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
