Georgia Westbrook McClenny, 91, passed away on August 17, 2025. She was a Sampson County native but called Roanoke Rapids home for over 70 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, P.H. McClenny, sisters, Betty Steedly and Carrie Godwin, and brothers, Carl Ray Westbrook and Billy Westbrook.

She was a precious Mama and Nana to her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Jake Riggsbee; her grandson, Matthew Riggsbee, and his wife, Lauren; her granddaughter, Katie Haskins and her husband, Nate; great-granddaughters, Lillian and Penelope Riggsbe. Also, left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law, Barbara McClenny and Willa Mae McClenny; special friends, Sandra Hughes, Ruthie and Bobby Hasty, and Terry and Susan Wilson.

Georgia was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a nurse with Halifax Regional Hospital and especially enjoyed her time with the Cardio Pulmonary Department.

A graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Cedarwood Cemetery. In leiu of flowers and in honor of Georgia's memory, please enjoy calling, visiting or taking a friend to lunch.
