George Thomas Davis, 76 of Rich Square, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

He was born on November 18, 1947, to the late Harvey Fleetwood and Elsie Sumner Davis and was preceded in death by his brothers, William "Billy" Davis and Harvey Lynn Davis and his sister, Theresa Gail Ambrose.

George served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Robert's Chapel Baptist Church. He enjoyed working and piddling on different projects around the house and was a member of the American Legion.

George is survived by his wife of fifty three years, Elaine Barnes Davis; his son, Christopher Davis and his wife, Sherry of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Joshua Pulley and Hunter Davis; his brother, Avery Lee Davis and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Robert's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Askew Funeral Services, Jackson Chapel from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM.
