Garvie Dolan Beasley, 99, passed away on February 19, 2022. He was born August 3, 1922 in Harnett County, He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Dora Dean Inscoe Beasley, mother mary Reba Denning Morris, Step father Lee Morris, siblings Dorothy Barnes, and Jimmy Beasley. Garvie served his country in the US Army during World War II, with the 84 Infantry Division in the European theater, an active member of widow's son masonic lodge 519. Left to cherish his memory are his family, son Vander Beasley and wife Susan of Spring Hope, NC, Sisters Mary Lee Daniel of Littleton, NC, Betty Dickens of Roanoke Rapids, NC a special friend, Barbara Jones of Gaston, a long with many loving and much-loved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 10 am to 11:00 am at Askew Funeral Services in Roanoke Rapids, NC located at 731 Roanoke Ave. Roanoke Rapids North Carolina 27870. A graveside service will follow at 11:00am at Cedarwood Cemetery.
