Liverman

Mr. Fred Lee Liverman, age 82, died on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Born July 19, 1940 in Hertford County, he was the son of Mr. Arthur Lee Liverman, Jr. and Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Davis Liverman Daughtry, who preceded him in death.
Fred graduated from North Carolina State University in 1962 with a degree in Forestry, where he served as President of the North Carolina State Forestry Association. He began his career with Champion International in Roanoke Rapids. Following retirement, he continued professionally consulting in forestry, wildlife, and game management throughout Eastern North Carolina.
Fred met Beatrice Sue Bishop, his wife of 59 years, on a blind date in 1961 in Raleigh. They were married in 1963 in Bath. Along with Sue, his memories will be cherished by his three children: Sheila Liverman Forbes (Stewart) of Sanford, Edward Lee Liverman (Julie) of Roanoke Rapids and John Andrew Liverman (Emily Michaels) of Midlothian, Virginia. Also, eight grandchildren: Carter Stewart Forbes (Shelley), Kirby Elizabeth Forbes, Keaton Spencer Forbes, Bennett Lee Liverman, Davis Edward Liverman, Kaylee Drew Liverman, Elly Grace Liverman and Ruby Chase Liverman; and one great grandchild, Juliette Carter Forbes.
A lifelong hunter and wildlife conservationist, Fred was passionate about sharing his knowledge and experiences with upcoming generations of youth hunters. His love for the outdoors was regularly spent with friends and family across Lake Mattamuskeet Wildlife Refuge in Hyde County, Liverman Farms in St. John, and The Outer Banks. Fred was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and was involved in many church service projects.
A service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Ahoskie at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeffery Douglas officiating. A reception and visitation will be held following the service at the church Parish Hall.
The family will also receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 until 6:00 pm at the home.
