Frankie Junior Fain, Jr. 78, of Sunbury, NC passed away on June 6, 2024.

He was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Frankie Junior Fain, Sr. and Mary Lou Lowry Fain.

Frankie loved helping people, the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and traveling. He retired from the United States Army having served two terms in Vietnam and loved his country.

Frankie is survived by his wife, Mary Fain, his son, Frankie "Butch" Junior Fain, III of Sunbury, NC; his daughter, Michele Sparks of Gates, NC; his stepdaughters, Angela Hale and her husband, Howard of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Julie Gwaltney of Skippers, VA and Lisa Norris of Sunbury, NC; his grandchildren, Alicen Fain and Zoey Sparks; his step-grandchildren, Nicholas Hale, Tyler Hale, Dylan Warren, Michael Gwaltney, Brooklyn Mitchell, Jacob Mitchell, Kylie Burnette and Ashlyn Norris; two great grandchildren, Carlyle Hale, Bryce Warren; his two sisters, Joy Stevens, of Charleston, SC and Jackie Durham; his nieces and nephews, Lia Stevens, Tia Stevens, and, Annette Bowen and Christine Hernandez.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024 in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Jimmy King officiating. Full military honors will be provided for his service.
