Woodland- Marion Frances Vinson Britt, 90, died in Pine Forest Rest Home Friday, April 03, 2020. Mrs. Britt was born, April 26, 1929, in Northampton County daughter to the late Ralph and Minnie James Futrell Vinson. She grew up in the Ashley's Grove community. She married Jack Britt in 1957 and they made their home in Milwaukee where they were members of Bethany United Methodist Church. Frances served the church for many years as a teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, choir member and treasurer for the Bethany Memorial Fund. Her service was out of love and obedience to her savior Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson "Jack" Britt. Surviving are her sons, Barry Britt and wife, Deanna, of Raleigh; Ronnie Britt and wife, Lisa, of Winston-Salem; brother, Merrill Vinson; sisters, Virginia Hair and Janice Rose; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Kyle Britt, his wife Aubrie and their three children, Owen, Selah and Lydia, Matthew Britt, Emily Copus and her husband Josh, and Katie Lozano, her husband Kevin and their son Elias. The family will have a private graveside service, and will announce a Memorial Service at a later date. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Pine Forest Rest Home for the care they have provided her over the last 5 years.
